Note: This book is a direct sequel to The World of Null-A and this review will spoil elements of that first novel. Like, immediately after this paragraph. With the death of the mighty Thorson, the plans of the Greatest Empire for Venus and Earth have been Pawns of Null-A book.

This book actually explains the premise and philosophy of Null A much better than the first book, Worlds of Null A.

I also recommend that Pawns of Null-A book reader browse the subject of Null A on Wikipedia before reading this or the first book. The plotting was better here, the characters more lively and drawn, the urgency of the issues more "in your face"/5(12).
